Pierre man in custody after Robbery, Aggravated Assault and Theft of a Vehicle

A 21 year old Pierre man is in custody at the Hughes County Jail facing charges related to two separate situations.

A US Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force arrested John Graham last week (Nov. 24, 2021) on a Possession of a Controlled Drug or Substance charge.

Then, while the Pierre Police Department was investigating a vehicle theft from the 200 block of East Second Street on Tuesday of last week (Nov. 23, 2021), officers determined Graham was the alleged perpetrator. Graham is accused of confronting the victim in the parking lot of an apartment complex, brandishing a knife, threatening the victim and then demanding the keys to the person’s vehicle. Graham fled the scene and the car was located later that day at an apartment complex in the 700 block of East Wells Avenue. Relating to this incident, Graham is charged with First Degree Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Petty Theft.
