WATERTOWN – Lilly Krogman hit a hook shot in the lane with two seconds left on Saturday to give White River a 54-52 win over Wall in the 7th-place game of the SDHSAA Class B Girls State Tournament at Watertown Civic Arena.
White River (19-5) had 27 points from Maleighya Estes on 11-of-17 shooting. Karlie Cameron hit three three-pointers and scored 11 for the Tigers.
Paige Kjerstad led Wall (21-5) with 18 points. Nora Dinger scored 14 and Ava Dinger had 13. Nora Dinger had tied the game at 52-52 moments before Krogman’s winning shot.
White River made its second straight appearance in the state tournament after winning the 2021 Class B championship.
