FORT MYERS, FL – Trevor Larnach hit a three-run homer Wednesday as the Minnesota Twins earned their second win of the spring, 10-4 over the Boston Red Sox at JetBlue Park.
Ryan Jeffers broke a scoreless tie with an RBI single in the top of the fifth inning just before Larnach lined his homer to nearly straight away center field.
Nick Gordon had a two-run single and Derek Fisher hit a two-run double in a six-run eighth inning for the Twins (2-5).
Starter Josh Winder struck out three and allowed two hits in two scoreless innings. Taylor Rogers, in his second appearance this spring, allowed a hit and struck out two in one inning. Tyler Duffey pitched a perfect inning with a strikeout.
On Thursday, the Twins will play Tampa Bay at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers.
