Al’Leon Dinero Simms, Jr., 5-month-old baby boy of Al’Leon C. Simms Sr. of Indianapolis, IN
and Tiana Iron Hawk, of Cherry Creek, SD, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025, in
Bloomington, IN.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. MST, Friday, November 14, 2025, at Blue Gym, Cherry
Creek. Burial will follow in the Congregational Cemetery, Cherry Creek. A wake service will be
7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the gym with a procession from the 2-Mile east of
Cherry Creek at 4:00 p.m.
Al’Leon Dinero Simms, Jr, was born May 27, 2025, to Tiana Iron Hawk and Al’Leon Simms, Sr.
Despite his short time on earth, Al’Leon was deeply loved and brought joy and happiness to
those around. It was with heavy hearts that we honor and say goodbye to our precious baby boy.
Some people only dream of angels, we held one in our arms.
Al’Leon is survived by his mother, Tiana Iron Hawk; father, Al’Leon Simms Sr; sister, Ava
Baker; grandmother, Christina Simms and Lindsey Flying By; grandfather, Joseph Hale; great
grandmother, Teresita Blue Arm; aunites: Alexis Simms, A’Raina Cloud Eagle, Affinity Iron
Hawk, Jaeshawnia Iron Hawk, Leialoha Hale, and Hannah Hale; uncles: Dontae McGary, Gonza
McGary, Skye Cloud Eagle, Rodney Iron Hawk III, Masato Hale, Beau Flying By Jr., and
Emerald Bear Looks Running Waloke.
Al’Leon was preceded in death by his great grandfathers: Myron Flying By, Sr., Russell Flying
By, Byron Flying By, Gordon Blue Arm, Sr., Wilbur Flying By, and Rodney Iron Hawk, Sr.;
great grandmothers: Cordelia Benoist, Faye Condon, Meroda Flying By, and Mageline Long
Feather; grandfathers: Beau Flying By, Lynden Flying By, Andre Simms, and Lucas Flying By;
grandmothers: Lisa Condon and Amy Flying By; aunties: Kubria Flying By and Gabriella Flying
By and uncle, Aaron Hale.
