Arlo C. Mehlhaff, 90, Eureka, SD, long time publisher of the Northwest Blade, died Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at the Eureka Community Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Friday, August 14, 2026 at the Eureka Reformed Church led by Pastor Cody Schwichtenberg. Interment, with military rites by the Fred Weller American Legion Post No. 186, Eureka, SD, follows at the Eureka Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Lien-Straub-Carlsen Chapel, Eureka, from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday.
Arlo is survived by Bonnie, his wife of 62 years; one son, Derek Mehlhaff of Tampa, FL; one daughter, Lara (Thomas) Ramsey of Chicago, IL; two grandsons, Henry and Jack; two nephews, William and Ross Jordan; one niece, Traci McNamee; and sister-in-law, Rhonda (Herb) Jordan of Wilmette, IL.
Services are in care of Lien-Straub-Carlsen Chapel, Eureka.
