Trevor was born January 18, 1992, in La Jolla, California, to Harold Three Legs Sr. and Adell White Dog. He was the seventh of eight children and eventually made his home in Eagle Butte.
Anyone who knew Trevor knew he loved to laugh. His family and friends remember him as being happy, funny, helpful, generous, and loving, and he had a way of bringing humor wherever he went. His coworkers at the Eagle Stop and Taco John’s remembered Trevor as a treasured employee who “could light up the room” and who “truly was a light.”
Trevor worked at the Eagle Stop and Taco John’s in Eagle Butte and had worked toward earning his GED. One summer, Trevor also worked as a wildland firefighter, traveling with a crew to help fight fires where they were needed.
Trevor also helped his mom, Adell, at the Mustard Seed, a community ministry in Eagle Butte, when he could, including preparing and delivering meals to people in need.
One of the most important people in Trevor’s life was his daughter, Shelloni Sitting Dog. Trevor loved his daughter very much and was proud of her. They shared a love of basketball and enjoyed watching the Oklahoma City Thunder together.
Trevor loved movies, and his family remembers him always singing along to songs from the movies. He loved to laugh, joke around, and spend time with the people he cared about. Trevor was the kind of person who was there for the people he loved, and he could be counted on when they needed him. He will be remembered for his humor, generosity, and the love he had for his family and friends.
Trevor leaves behind his daughter, Shelloni Sitting Dog; his parents, Harold Three Legs Sr. and Adell White Dog; and his siblings, Mary (Brett) Donley, Krystal Three Legs, Harold (Stephanie) Three Legs, Henry Three Legs, Katherine Three Legs, and Ramona Three Legs (Oscar High Elk). Among his many nieces and nephews are Erma, Cheyenne, Yamni, Dimitri Jr., Rayson, Rae’Lynn, Oceti, and Josephine. He also leaves behind many other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, friends, and all those who knew and loved him.
Trevor was preceded in death by his infant sister, Ramona Three Legs; his grandmothers Mona, Rose, and Matilda; his uncles David, Gerald Sr., and Donald Nephi; his aunties Henrietta and Melva; his cousin Deanna White Dog; his nieces Brandi Rose and Michelle; and his nephews Michael and Stoney.
Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg has been entrusted with Trevor’s arrangements.
