Mayor Gloria Hanson and council members Larry Cronin, Mike Weisgram and Carl Rathbun each signed their oath of office document to start another three year term.
City finance officer Roxanne Heezen reported their insurance provider says Fort Pierre city employees will see an 11% increase in their health insurance premiums for 2020-21.
As for the Fort Pierre outdoor pool, Heezen says it’ll close next month.
The Fort Pierre City Council also heard budget requests for the coming year from local non-profit organizations and approved a right-of-way closure for the Sept. 26 Fort Pierre Fireman’s Ball.
