Today (July 26) is Americans with Disabilities Act Day in South Dakota and across the US.
Eric Weiss is the director of the state Department of Human Services Division of Rehabilitation Services. He says the ADA prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in employment, transportation, public accommodations, commercial facilities, telecommunications and state and local government services.
Weiss says people with disabilities are a sometimes overlooked segment of the potential work force.
