A 44 year old man from Pierre has been arrested on a variety of charges after a wallet was reported missing earlier this month (Nov. 1, 2021).
Information from the Pierre Police Department says the person reporting the incident said whoever found their wallet had used their credit card at a local store. Officers obtained video surveillance from the store and were able to identify David White Jr. as the person who had used the credit card for the purchase. He attempted another purchase with a different credit card, but that transaction was declined.
White Jr. was located Saturday (Nov. 6). After the investigation, he was taken into custody and charged with Petty Theft, Theft of Mislaid Property, Use of Another’s Credit Card to Obtain Property or Services and Attempt to Commit a Crime.
