WATERTOWN – The Oahe Capitals split varsity results Saturday, with the boys taking a 6-3 win over the Lakers at Maas Arena and the girls taking their first regulation loss of the season, 3-2.
Jarron Beck and Keller Herman each scored twice for the Capital boys (3-0). Andre Carbonneau and Carter Sanderson also scored for Oahe. Sanderson now has seven goals in the season’s first three games. Kieran Duffy picked up his second win in net with 27 saves.
Jaclyn Lloyd scored twice in the third period to break a 1-1 tie and help the Laker girls to the win over the Capitals (2-1-1). Brylee Kafka scored her fourth goal of the season for the Capitals. Ashton Lee scored her eighth goal.
The Capital boys will play Sunday at Huron. The girls will next play on Saturday at Sioux Falls.
