Vehicles vandalized over the weekend; Pierre Police Department asking residents to check street-facing security cameras for suspicious activity

It appears the Grinch was out and about in Pierre over Christmas weekend.

Information from the Pierre Police Department says at least seven vehicles were vandalized with a pellet gun sometime between late evening Saturday night (Dec. 25, 2021) and early this morning (Dec. 27). The vandalisms occurred in the 300 block of North Grand Avenue, the 200 block of North Huron Avenue and the 400 block of South Central Avenue.

Local law enforcement is asking Pierre residents living in those areas to review any street-facing home security camera footage they have. If you see any suspicious activity, please report it to the Pierre Police Department at 605-773-7410.
