The Pierre School District continues to see fluctuating numbers of students and staff testing positive for COVID-19.
District Supt. Dr. Kelly Glodt shared this week’s numbers with the school board at last night’s (Jan. 10, 2022) meeting.
Glodt says last week (Jan. 5, 2022), parents were emailed an updated version of the District’s COVID-19 policy on isolation and quarantine periods.
Glodt says the entire state is seeing an increasing number of cases of COVID-19.
So far during the 2021-22 school year for Pierre, there are 272 recovered cases among students and 56 recovered cases among the district’s staff.
The Pierre School District typically updates its COVID-19 case numbers on Mondays and posts them on the school’s website.
The South Dakota Department of Health provides COVID-19 case data broken down by age, sex, race/ethnicity and county of residence at covid.sd.gov.
