FEBRUARY 8, 2022:
A 52 year old man from Chancellor has been identified as the person who died Sunday evening (6:48PM, Feb. 6, 2022) in a one-vehicle crash 12 miles east of Parkston.
Preliminary crash information from the South Dakota Highway Patrol indicates Jeb Ford was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am eastbound on South Dakota Highway 44 when the vehicle struck a deer. The vehicle went into the north ditch and rolled. Ford, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
The Highway Patrol is an agency of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.

The name of the one person involved is not yet being released.
