TEA – Craig Clayberg is leaving his position as head football coach at Tea Area to become the school’s athletic director.
Clayberg replaces Brent DeBoer, who is retiring after 12 years on the job.
Clayberg leaves as the winningest head coach in the history of the Titans program, with a record of 85-43. He led Tea to 11A state championships in 2018 and 2020. In the Titans’ first season of 11AA football in 2021, Tea Area was 11-0 before the championship game, where they had a 27-7 lead in the third quarter over Pierre before the Governors rallied for a 30-27 win.
