BRADENTON, FL – Dylan Bundy pitched three good innings Friday in the Minnesota Twins’ 2-1 spring training loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates at LECOM Park.
Bundy struck out four and allowed only one hit, a tying solo homer in the bottom of the first by the Pirates’ Brian Reynolds.
Jake Cave drove in the Twins’ only run with a first-inning RBI single.
Lewis Thorpe allowed a game-winning home run to Pirates’ minor-leaguer Hunter Owen in the bottom of the ninth.
Minnesota (3-6) will play Atlanta Saturday in North Port, Florida.
