Development keeps moving along in Fort Pierre; 77 building permits issued in 2022

From hotels, to businesses to living spaces, there were a variety of building projects done in Fort Pierre in 2022.

Fort Pierre Development Corporation executive director Dave Bonde says building permits were issued for remodel or construction of residential and commercial properties.

Bonde says last year’s numbers were slightly above those in 2021.

In 2022, a total of 77 building permits were issued in Fort Pierre. Seven were new single family residential permits valued at over $3 million ($3,026,000) and five were new commercial permits valued at over $11,472,300.
