A tribute album to honor the music of Triumph will be out later this year and will feature a host of rock stars. Heart’s Nancy Wilson, Mickey Thomas of Starship, ex-Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach and Anthrax’s Joe Belladonna are among the artists involved.
In an interview that appeared in Blabbermouth, drummer Gil Moore said that it should be out around the “third or fourth quarter this year.” He added, “There’s so many great musicians on there, I can’t even tell you how thrilled we are.”
Some of those include, longtime John Fogerty touring drummer Kenny Aronoff and Bon Jovi guitarist Phil X, who previously played with Triumph in 1992 and ’93 after founding singer/guitarist Rik Emmett left the band. Tommy Aldridge who played with Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake and several others. Plus, Nita Strauss long time member of Alice Cooper’s band and has most recently been working with Demi Lovato.
The project is being produced by Mike Clink, who helmed Triumph’s 1986 album, Sport of Kings.
