Kaleb Hay was dominant on the mound, as the starting pitcher rang up 14 strikeouts in Oahe Zap 4-1 victory over Fremont Moo on Sunday. Hay gave up three hits and one run over seven innings while walking one. Oahe Zap got on the board in the top of the first inning after a wild pitch scored one run, and Garrett Arnold doubled, scoring two runs.
Fremont Moo scored one run in the bottom of the sixth on a solo home run to left field by Tyman Long on the seventh pitch of the at-bat.
Marco Ibarra took the loss for Fremont Moo. The starting pitcher went six innings, allowing four runs on 10 hits, striking out seven and walking none.
Oahe Zap amassed 11 hits in the game. Kyle Memarian and Trevor Segraves were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Oahe Zap. Arnold led Oahe Zap with two runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-3 on the day. Oahe Zap were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Arnold had the most chances in the field with 14.
Long, Neil Jansen, and Jayson Willers each collected one hit for Fremont Moo. Long went 1-for-3 at the plate as the number three hitter led the team with one run batted in. Fremont Moo turned one double play in the game
