Philip cross country coach Ralph Kroetch has been named as South Dakota’s 2023 boys Coach of the Year by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Association.
Kroetch led the Scotties to a second straight class B championship last month after Philip won the Western Great Plains Conference and Region 5B titles.
Kroetch also guided Philip to the 2014 state championship, nine conference titles and six region championships.
