VERMILLION – Grace Larkins poured in 28 points Wednesday as South Dakota Women’s Basketball eased past Northern Iowa 84-65 at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.
Larkins also had 11 rebounds, six assists and made three three-pointers for the Coyotes (5-3).
Kendall Holmes and Alexi Hempe each scored 13 for USD.
South Dakota led 40-34 at halftime, then widened the lead to 11 points late in the third quarter. After that, the Coyotes had 16 straight points to take a 71-44 lead early in the fourth quarter.
USD shot 48 percent from the floor and held Northern Iowa to 36 percent.
