The Mobridge-Pollock High School track & field teams will go to Aberdeen on Tuesday for the Northern State Open; their second meet of the season. Their first meet, the Fuller Invite on March 18, was a successful one for the Tigers. The boy’s team took first place in four events, and the girl’s won two.
For the boy’s, Junior Jackson Eisemann stole the show early with a second-place finish in the 55-meter dash (6.99), and a victory in the 200-meter (25.22). Senior Simon Fried won the 400-meter (54.94) as well as the long jump (19 feet, 8.75 inches), and Junior Carter Hinsz won the shot put (43 feet, 8.75 inches).
The girl’s team won the 4×400 relay with Jacy Netterville (Sophomore), Jayda Thompson (Sophomore), Faith Heil (Sophomore), and Grace Overland (Junior) in 4:31.24. Their other victory was for Heil, who won the 800-meter event (2:41.22). Additionally, Sophia Overland finished fourth in both the 55-meter (8.06) and the 200-meter (29.88).
