The Pierre City Commission has approved (Feb. 18, 2025) another contract related to street improvements planned for 2025.
City Engineer Nick Waters says the approximately $417,000 contract is for the replacement of about 40 blocks of curb and gutter.
Waters says this work is similar to what they’ve done the past few years.
Curb and gutters that work properly carry moisture away from the street surface, keeping it from penetrating the street and causing damage. Work will begin as soon as weather conditions allow.
