Pierre boys tennis took fifth place as a team at the A State Tournament this week, and also sent five to the podium to cap off a great day and a great season as a whole.

In flight three, Brady Lowery took third place in the singles flights which would be Pierre highest finish. Lucas Hight would end his season (and career) with a consolation championship, certainly going out on a high note.
Other podium finishers for the Govs saw Noah Lueking finishing fourth in singles while Marty Blanchette also finished fourth in the sixth flight.
Pierre doubles ended with a third place finish in flight two with the team of High and Lowery pulling off the upset of the two seed. Blanchette and Jacoby LaRoche also won their third place match as five seeds, earning the Govs another upset of the two seed, winning the third place medal.
As mentioned above, the Pierre boys team totals would turn out to 255.5 for fifth place, right on the fourth place Huron Tigers in fourth. No one would be able to touch Sioux Falls Christian who won every singles flight championship on the afternoon.
