A 56 year old Spearfish, South Dakota, man died Sunday from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash Saturday (July 25, 2026) one mile east of Spearfish.
Names of the those involved have not been released pending notification of family members.
Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a 1995 Harley Davidson was traveling west on I-90 when he started to lose control of the motorcycle and laid it down. In the process, he became separated from the motorcycle. The driver was taken to a Spearfish Hospital before being transferred to a Rapid City hospital.
The driver died from his injuries on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
The investigation is ongoing. All information released is preliminary.
