Linda Lu Voegele was born in Mobridge, SD on November 26, 1948, to Eddie Voegele and Irene (Baumann) Voegele. She was their seventh child out of eight.
She grew up in Mobridge and attended school there. When she was sixteen years old, she volunteered to work at the Mobridge Nursing Home and worked nights. She spent time working at the country club and the Brown Palace.
In 1979, she moved to Gillette, Wyoming and began working at Amax coal mine as a truck driver. She was later trained to do welding and as an electrician. She was transferred to work at the coal plant after her training until 1994.
In 1995, Linda moved to Akaska, SD and purchased a building from the Bank of Hoven. She opened a restaurant called Linda’s Supper Club. She ran the restaurant and bar until her health started to fail and she sold it in March of 2022.
Linda was a tiny little woman with a big personality. She loved fiercely, had a huge heart, but never used a filter when it came to her opinions. Her biggest love in life was for her dogs. She spoiled her own dogs and everyone else’s that she came in contact with.
She is survived by her brother and sisters Joann Houck (Tom) Ramona Stewart (Rich) and Aldeen Voegele (Deb). She was preceded in death by her parents Eddie and Irene, sisters and brothers Jean Imberi, Dennis Voegele, Jeraldine Lord and Doug Voegele.
