Through all the years he was a well-known pow-wow singer and softball player. He enjoyed his talent at pow-wows getting to know different pow-wow singers and dancers. Going into High School he attended the Flandreau Indian School and then went on to graduate at Fort Yates High School. While in High School he was very active in sports. He took on Track and Field as well as wrestling and played football. After graduation he enjoyed pow-wowing and singing at different pow-wows. He sang with a lot of different drum groups like Yankton Sioux, Fort Peck Sioux, Fort Yates Singers, Dakota Nation, Red Leaf, Ironwood, Iron Boy, Standing Horse, Lakota Tribe and last but not least Grand River Singers, his brothers. Through all of this he met Alvida Reed his partner and throughout the years they had three beautiful children Stacy Lynn, Sean William and Shayla Jey. He is very proud of them because they are smart and very active in sports just like he was all through his life he is going from pow-wow to pow-wow he has a lot of adopted family and too much to name.
