The annual Walk of Hope Coming Together for Suicide Prevention event will be held tomorrow morning (Sept. 9, 2023) in Pierre.
Capital Area Counseling Service prevention specialist Jana Boocock says they’ll gather at Hyde Stadium.
Boocock says the Foundation of Hope coordinates the event.
Dr. Melissa Dittmer will be the featured speaker.
Boocock says there are a few ways to find out more information about the Walk of Hope or how you can volunteer at the event.
Boocock says the balloons released during the remembrance ceremony are 100% biodegradable.
