The South Dakota Department of Transportation will hold an open house tonight (Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. CT) in Wood to share details and gather public input about the proposed S.D. Highway 44 reconstruction project from the east side of town to the Tripp County line.
The public meeting open house will be held at the Wood Gymnasium (130 S. Dakota St.) and will be informal, allowing for one-on-one discussion with design staff and other representatives from SDDOT.
Information will be available on the acquisition of right-of-way and relocation assistance. A short presentation will be shared (at 5:30pm). Area residents, business owners and daily commuters are encouraged to attend.
