Living in South Dakota we have access to a lot of outdoor activities that a lot of other parts of the country don’t. We have some amazing ponds, rivers, steams and dams that folks from all around the country come to fish.
The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department has a new resources to help anglers decide where they would like to fish next. From now on, they will be providing a weekly fish stocking report on their website.
You can find this new tool by heading over to gfp.sd.gov and click on the fish tab. You’ll see on the left side of the page a tab that says “Weekly Fish Stocking.”
Fisheries program manger Geno Adams says they receive a lot of phone calls about which lakes, ponds, rivers and dams have been stocked. Adams said most folks want to know when those bodies of water were stocked.
He said that these stocking reports will be a good tool to help anglers fish smarter, have more fun and take advantage of the state’s fish resources.
