The equipment used for elections in Hughes County is getting an upgrade.
County Finance Officer Thomas Oliva told the County Commission the $30,000 needed was budgeted for this year.
Oliva said he’s received some outside money to help pay for the upgrade.
The Hughes County Commission unanimously approved spending the money needed to upgrade the election equipment during their meeting this week (Feb. 17, 2026).
