Several Pierre Riggs High School students fared well recently at the annual South Dakota Skills USA Competition, hosted April 9-10, 2026, at Mitchell Technical College.
Skills USA highlights the budding talents of high school students in the state in a wide range of trade and technical arenas. Placing in their respective categories at this year’s competition from Pierre include:
- Blake Tostenson, 1st in Auto Maintenance & Light Repair;
- Carson Glodt, 1st in Motorcycle Service Technology;
- Brock Weisgram, 2nd in Motorcycle Service Technology;
- Grady Hofer, 2nd in Cabinet Making;
- Emma Robertson, 2nd in Culinary Arts;
- Jianah Rancy, 3rd in Culinary Arts; and
- Nolan Borrud, 3rd in Auto Maintenance & Light Repair.
