Avera Research Institute’s Mobile Unit is traveling across the Midwest this fall, making stops to celebrate research participants and share information about their research. Avera Research Institute will stop at Pierre from 3—6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Avera St. Mary’s.
During the visit, staff will share information about current Avera Research Institute studies and programs, including Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) and Avera Healthy Start. This free, family-friendly event will have food, games and raffle drawings and is open to the entire community. No registration is required and you do not have to be enrolled in one of our studies to attend.
The Mobile Unit is designed to make research participation more accessible for individuals and families who may have limited access to research sites. By bringing research directly to communities, the Mobile Unit helps ensure studies better represent residents across South Dakota and the surrounding region.
