A man from Montana is the latest to damage the air conditioning unit on his camper after hitting the train bridge located along a main route of travel through Pierre.
According to the Pierre Police Department, Raymond Sickler of Belgrade, Montana, was traveling south on Pierre Street at 2:20 yesterday (Oct. 19) afternoon when the air conditioning unit on his camper struck the train bridge. The air conditioner became detached and landed on the vehicle being pulled by the camper.
Damage to the camper is estimated at $2,500. Damage to the vehicle being towed is estimated at $750. There was no damage to the bridge.
