Congratulations to Gracelyn Bowman for being chosen as the Pierre TF Riggs High School Fine Arts Student of the Week.
Her nomination:
In the last couple of weeks, Gracie (a horn player) has become a member of the Big Band on piano and Drumline on cymbals (as the only freshman) without prior knowledge– she just knew she wanted to be involved. Instead of being frustrated after her first practices for both activities, she took the challenge and came back the next week well prepared and willing to keep learning and working. She has also committed to trying for All State Band which requires additional work on her part. Gracie has shown she is talented and eager to work hard.
