The District 24 legislators have received their committee assignments for the 2021 Legislative Session.
Senator-elect Mary Duvall will serve on four committees– Ag and Natural Resources, Health and Human Services, Retirement Laws and she will Chair the Senate Transportation Committee.
Duvall has been on the House version of two of those committees.
Duvall says she’s looking forward to learning more about the Health and Human Services and Retirement Laws committees.
Representative-elect Mike Weisgram will serve on the House Commerce and Energy and Health and Human Services committees.
Representative-elect Will Mortenson was assigned to the House Education and Local Government committees.
Mortenson plans to develop close relationships with education stakeholders.
Gov. Kristi Noem will give her budget address December 8. South Dakota’s 96th Legislative Session begins January 12, 2021.
