A 68 year old man died Wednesday afternoon (4:25pm Feb. 24) in a two-vehicle crash three miles east of Blunt.
Information from the South Dakota Highway Patrol says a 2000 Ford Ranger was northbound on 314th Avenue when it did not yield at the intersection with 198th Street. The vehicle collided with a 2015 GMC Sierra that was westbound on 198th Street.
The 68-year-old male driver of the Ford Ranger was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.
The 48-year-old male driver of the GMC Sierra was wearing a seat belt and sustained minor injuries.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate. Names of the two people involved are not yet being released.
The Highway Patrol is part of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
