This year’s Avera Race Against Cancer fundraising event will be held virtually, but you can see the Avera Race Mustang in person today (April 5) and tomorrow at various locations in Pierre and Onida and Wednesday in Gettysburg.
Community Giving Officer for the Avera Foundation Kellie Yackley says the Mustang is going to pop up across the Avera region over the next several weeks. She says if you see it, take a picture and post it to Facebook with the #RunThisTown.
Yackley says with this year’s race being virtual, people throughout Avera’s service area can participate without having to go anywhere.
She says participants can choose to walk, run or be a sideline supporter.
Yackley will have the Avera Race Mustang at The Helmsley Center in Pierre tomorrow at 8am (Tues.). Wedneday, it will be in Gettysburg at various locations between 8:30am and 4:30pm. The #RunThisTown contest winner will receive free race registration for their entire immediate family.
