Harrisburg 17, Sioux Falls Lincoln 10
Quarterback Jacob Knuth and Gavin Ross rushed for touchdowns to give Harrisburg a 14-0 lead, then the Tigers held on to advance to the 11AAA title game for the second straight year. Lincoln, who held Knuth to 85 yards passing, had a six-yard touchdown pass from Tate Schafer to Trent Peterson.
Brandon Valley 28, O’Gorman 20
Noah Thompson rushed for 112 yards and three touchdowns to lead defending champion Brandon Valley back to the DakotaDome, where the Lynx defeated Harrisburg in 2020. Maverick Jones rushed for an O’Gorman score

Pierre 28, Aberdeen Central 21
Tea Area 35, Yankton 28
Tea Area’s 22nd consecutive win did not come with ease in the end. Yankton rallied from 35-7 down to come within 35-28 and was stopped on the last play by the Titans. Cael Lundin passed for 225 yards and four touchdowns for Tea Area. Klayton Sattler had two scoring receptions. Yankton’s Rugby Ryken, who threw six touchdown passes in a quarterfinal win over Mitchell, passed for three more touchdowns. Tea Area won the 11A championship in 2020.

Madison 38, Dell Rapids 28
Trey Smith rushed for three touchdowns and quarterback Nathan Ricke passed for one score and ran for another for Madison, who will be in its first championship game since winning a third straight 11A title in 2017. Quarterback Austin Henry rushed for three touchdowns and passed for one for Dell Rapids.
Milbank 24, Vermillion 0
A week after upsetting second-seed Canton, Milbank stopped number three seed Vermillion at the DakotaDome. Kaden Krause had two rushing touchdowns and one through the air. The Bulldogs are in their first championship game since a 2009 title win.

Winner 52, Elk Point-Jefferson 14
Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan 28, Beresford 21
The Seahawks advanced to their third straight championship game. Kaden Klumb’s second touchdown pass of the game with 1:45 left to Sutton Arend to give BEE the lead. Koby Kayser also rushed for two touchdowns. Peyton Fridrich had rushed for a 20-yard touchdown with 3:53 left for a 21-20 lead for the Watchdogs, who had their first playoff wins since 1991 in the previous two weeks.

Platte-Geddes 23, Timber Lake 20
For the second straight week, Platte-Geddes rallied to win, scoring the go-ahead points on a 15-yard touchdown pass from Grayson Hanson to Joey Foxley with 2:18 remaining. Hanson also rushed for two scores for the ninth-seed Black Panthers, who will play for a second straight championship on Thursday. Hank Kraft rushed for two touchdowns, including an 89-yarder, for Timber Lake.
Canistota/Freeman 24, Parkston 20
Tage Ortman hit Will Ortman with a 20-yard touchdown pass with 1:27 remaining as the Pride, similarly to Platte-Geddes, won their third straight playoff road game. Cole Prunty and Kaleb Weber rushed for scores for Parkston. On Thursday, Canistota/Freeman will try for a fourth straight championship and become the fourth program (Freeman, West Central, Pierre) to win at least four in a row. The Pride won the last three 9A championships.

Herreid/Selby Area 16, De Smet 14
Howard 21, Wall 17
Howard rallied from a 10-point first-quarter deficit to make Thursday’s title game. Karsyn Feldhaus had the go-ahead rushing touchdown in the third quarter for the Tigers, who will play Thursday for their first championship since 2014. Cedar Amiotte rushed for one score and threw a halfback pass for another for a touchdown for Wall.

Potter County 22, Faulkton Area 12
Dell Rapids St. Mary 32, Avon 30
DRSM rallied from 10 points down in the last 10 minutes to hand Avon its first loss of the season. Gabriel Lindeman scored the winning points for the Cardinals with a 23-yard touchdown run with 1:21 left. Nic Gaspar had three touchdown runs for DRSM. Brady Bierema rushed for three scores for Avon. Dell Rapids St. Mary advanced to the title game for the second straight year. The Cardinals lost to Wolsey-Wessington in 2020.
