The Pierre-Fort Pierre Exchange Club is displaying the US and South Dakota flags across the Missouri River Bridge between Fort Pierre and Pierre today (Nov. 9, 2021) in honor of former Governor Frank Farrar.
Public viewing will be allowed in the South Dakota State Capitol in Pierre from 7-11am CT. A memorial ceremony in the Capitol Rotunda is scheduled for 1-2pm.
Also, Gov. Kristi Noem has requested that all flags in the state be lowered to half-staff until sunset Saturday (Nov. 13, 2021) when Farrar’s funeral service will be held in Britton.
