VERMILLION – After staving off two match points in the fifth set, South Dakota Volleyball advanced to the Summit League volleyball tournament championship match with a semifinal win Friday over South Dakota 20-25, 25-18, 25-20, 24-26, 18-16 at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.
Elizabeth Juhnke had 23 kills and 19 digs for USD. Madison Harris had 15 kills and Sami Slaughter added 10.
Crystal Burk led with 19 kills for South Dakota State, who had upset Denver on Thursday to reach the semifinal round.
South Dakota will play Omaha Saturday for the tournament championship and the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
