VERMILLION – Good defense and balanced scoring helped South Dakota women’s basketball to a 62-39 victory over Bradley Monday at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.
Hannah Sjerven led the Coyotes with 12 points. Sully Buttes alum Chloe Lamb scored 11. Liv Korngable and Grace Larkins each scored nine.
USD (5-4) held Bradley to 31 percent shooting. The Braves had not scored fewer than 50 points in their first six games.
South Dakota will host Valparaiso in Vermillion on Friday.
