Sjerven Layup Sends USD Over Creighton

OMAHA, NE – Hannah Sjerven hit a driving layup with three seconds left Thursday to give South Dakota women’s basketball a 73-71 win over Creighton at D.J. Sokol Arena.

Sully Buttes alum Chloe Lamb led the Coyotes with 20 points. Sjerven scored 17. Maddie Krull scored a season-high 16. Liv Korngable had 12.

The Coyotes will begin Summit League play Monday against Oral Roberts in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
