While COVID-19 precautions continue, more people are gradually starting to fly out of the Pierre Regional Airport again.
City commissioner Jamie Huizenga says September and October should be busier than the past few months.
So far this year, there have been 4720 people have flown out of the Pierre Regional Airport this year. The airport needs to hit the 10-thousand enplanements mark for the year in order to be eligible for $1-million in funding from the Federal Aviation Administration.
