Due to staff exposure and subsequent quarantining the Stanley County school district (grades junior kindergarten through 12th) will be distance learning through the end of the month and when classes resume, masks will be required.
Supt. Dan Hoey says there’s no school today (Sept. 21). Distance Learning begins tomorrow and continues through Sept. 30. He says all Stanley County Schools students should come to their respective buildings to pick up textbooks and electronic devices between noon and 6pm today (Sept. 21). Parents should expect additional communications from classroom teachers.
All athletic and other extra-curricular activities have temporarily been suspended. Stanley County Schools’ Homecoming has been pushed back one week to October 5-9. Further details will be forthcoming.
Hoey says traditional classes will resume Oct. 1 at which time all students will be required to have an appropriate face covering to wear when social distancing is not possible.
Cheyenne School will continue in its normal fashion.
