The South Dakota Department of Transportation will be permanently changing the traffic pattern on Highway 14 at the intersections of the truck bypass (Garfield Ave.) and north 1804 this week (Oct. 19-23).
New signs will be installed and pavement markings changed to designate the outside driving lanes at these two intersections to become “RIGHT TURN ONLY” lanes.
Eastbound traffic on Highway 14 will encounter a right-turn only at the intersection of southbound Garfield Ave./Truck Bypass. Westbound traffic on Highway 14 will encounter a right-turn only at the intersection of northbound Highway 1804 at the DCI building.
Will this change benefit those who come into Pierre using 1804?
Thank you for your comment. By “benefit,” what do you mean?
