The Nov. 3 general election is two weeks from today (Oct. 19).
Hughes County finance officer Jane Naylor says there’s a lot of interest in absentee voting.
She says the flow of Hughes County residents absentee voting in person at the courthouse has been steady.
Hughes County uses vote centers rather than assigned voting locations– meaning voters can cast their ballot any any of the locations. Naylor says there will be five options to chose from.
Stanley County voters must go to their assigned location. Those are:
- Pat Duffy Community and Youth Involved Center, Fort Pierre
- McQuistion Farmstead, rural Stanley County
- Hayes Hall, Hayes
You must bring a photo ID with you when you go vote.
If you have questions, contact your county auditor’s office or go to the South Dakota Secretary of State’s website (sdsos.gov).
Again, Hughes County vote center locations for the Nov. 3 General Election are:
- Faith Lutheran Church, Pierre
- New Life Assembly of God Church, Pierre
- Capitol Lake Visitor Center, Pierre
- Blunt Community Center, Blunt
- Harrold Auditorium, Harrold
