Stanley County Courthouse to be closed Nov. 3-15; Appointments can be made to conduct county business

The Stanley County Courthouse in Fort Pierre will be closed to the public from Tuesday, Nov. 3 through Sunday Nov. 15 due to COVID-19.

Auditor Philena Burtch says if someone has business in the courthouse, they can call that office to make an appointment. If something needs to be dropped off, there is a drop box inside the south doors, on East 2nd Avenue, facing the Stanley County Elementary School building.

The Brule County Clerk of Courts office is also closed because of COVID-19 exposure. Work is being done remotely by people in the Aurora County Clerk of Courts office. If you have questions, call 605-942-7165.
