A 30 year old man from Pierre faces multiple drug charges after being arrested early this (Dec. 1) morning.
Information from the Pierre Police Department says officers arrested Dillon BigEagle after they encountered a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of Country Drive shortly after midnight. During the investigation, BigEagle gave officers an identification card with a false name. However, one of the officers on scene knew BigEagle from previous contacts and also knew there to be several outstanding warrants for his arrest. Marijuana, methamphetamine and various drug-related items were discovered on BigEagle’s person and in the vehicle he occupied.
Bigeagle was charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug or Substance, Possession of Marijuana 2 oz or less, Possession or Use of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession with Intent to Distribute 1 oz or Less, False Impersonation to Deceive Law Enforcement and Driving While Suspended. He was arrested on these charges and on five outstanding warrants and was taken to the Hughes County Jail.
