Special Olympics athletes have drive-through holiday party

Special Olympics athletes in the Pierre and Fort Pierre area were treated to a drive-through Holiday Caravan yesterday (Dec. 14) in the TF Riggs High School Parking lot.

Polly the Polar Bear and Archie the Arch were decorated for the occasion. Volunteers dressed up and handed out goodie bags. Music and blow ups also contributed to the festive atmosphere. Similar events were held in 10 other communities across South Dakota.
