Some numbers were down, but overall, there was quite a bit of economic activity in Fort Pierre last year.
During the Fort Pierre Development Corporation annual meeting this week (Jan. 26), executive director Dave Bonde says in early spring, there wasn’t a lot of promising activity on the economic development front, but summer brought a rebound.
Bonde says there was quite a bit of building or remodeling activity.
Bonde says over a dozen businesses did some sort of construction, remodeling or renovating and six Fort Pierre businesses held ribbon cuttings in 2020.
